Mathematics is a fascinating subject that encompasses various concepts and operations. One of the fundamental building blocks of Maths is arithmetic which includes :

  • Addition – which is a process of combining two or more numbers to find their total sum
  • Subtraction – involves taking away one number from another to find the difference amount
  • Multiplication – is a process of repeated addition where we find the product of two or more numbers
  • Division – helps in dividing the large quantity in small equal parts

These basic operations are the building blocks of problem solving, critical thinking, enabling us to navigate the world with confidence & skills.

These different models help in understanding the difficult concepts in the easiest way. The factor model explains that factors are numbers that divide exactly into another number without leaving a remainder.

The HCF explains the largest number that divides evenly into all the given numbers.

The model of decimals represents that decimals are expressed using a decimal point and can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided as a whole number and the Pythagorean theorem explains about the fundamentals of Geometry.

Overall these concepts are essential for problem solving, logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
